A Fresh Perspective

Sometimes a Few Thoughtful Changes Make All the Difference

You may already have beautiful furniture and treasured pieces, but the room still does not feel completely finished. It can be difficult to identify what is missing when you see the same space every day.

During the consultation, we focus on one agreed room and discuss what is working, what feels unresolved and what you would like the space to become.

My role is to bring a trained eye, fresh ideas and practical direction without making you feel that everything needs to be replaced. The consultation is designed to give you clarity that you can then implement yourself if you wish.

  • Work with furniture and accessories you already own
  • Identify the changes that will make the greatest impact
  • Create a more cohesive colour and styling direction
  • Recommend new pieces only where they are genuinely needed
What We Can Look at Together

Help With the Decisions That Make a Room Feel Complete

Your $295 consultation focuses on one main room or an agreed connected living area. If you would like a complete decorating concept, product sourcing, layouts or rendered views, the One Room Decorating Plan is the more suitable service.

01

Furniture Placement

Improving room flow, balance and function by reconsidering how your existing furniture is positioned.

02

Colours and Finishes

General colour direction that works with your flooring, furniture and natural light. Detailed or renovation-focused finish selections are covered by the separate Colour & Finish Consultation.

03

Lighting

Choosing the right scale, location and style of lamps and lighting to improve both ambience and practicality.

04

Artwork and Accessories

Arranging artwork, decorative objects and personal pieces so they feel considered rather than cluttered.

05

Cushions, Rugs and Fabrics

Bringing softness, texture and colour into the room through coordinated fabrics and carefully selected finishing touches.

06

Window Furnishings

Reviewing privacy, natural light and fabric choices for curtains, blinds and other window treatments.

Designed Around Your Home

Advice That Considers the Whole Space

Good interior styling is not simply about choosing attractive individual pieces. The scale of the room, natural light, flooring, wall colour, existing furniture and the way your family uses the space all need to work together.

Seeing your home in person allows me to understand these details and offer ideas that are realistic for the way you live.

You do not need a perfectly empty room or a large renovation budget. We can begin with what you already have and identify the most useful next steps without turning the consultation into a full design project.

How It Works

A Clear and Practical Consultation Process

There is no pressure to make immediate purchases or commit to a larger project. The consultation has a defined scope, so you know what is included and where the service ends.

1

Free 15-Minute Introductory Call

We begin with a complimentary 15-minute phone conversation about your room, the decisions you are facing and whether the $295 in-home consultation is the right fit.

2

One-Room In-Home Consultation

I review the agreed room with you, discuss your priorities and provide practical advice on layout, colour direction, lighting, artwork, soft furnishings and finishing details. The visit is up to 90 minutes.

3

Your Summary & Next Steps

You receive a brief written summary of the agreed recommendations. You can then implement the ideas yourself, or choose a separate paid service if you would like further design, sourcing or implementation support.

The Finished Feeling

From Almost There to Beautifully Coordinated

“A successful room feels balanced, inviting and personal—not like a showroom.”

The goal is to create a room where the furniture, cushions, lighting, artwork and accessories feel naturally connected.

Your home should still reflect you. My role is to help bring the individual elements together so the finished result feels polished, welcoming and easy to live in.

Before You Book

Is an In-Home Consultation Right for You?

This Service Is Ideal If…

  • Your room feels unfinished, but you are unsure what it needs
  • You want to refresh your home without replacing everything
  • You need practical help making confident furniture or general colour decisions
  • You have collected pieces you love but need help arranging them

What to Have Ready

There is no need to prepare your home for the consultation. It is helpful to have inspiration images, paint colours, fabric samples or furniture ideas available, but these are not essential.

Please note that mood boards, shopping lists, detailed product sourcing, 3D renders, sample ordering, quotations, purchasing, supplier liaison and installation management are not included in the $295 consultation.

Most importantly, think about how you want the room to feel and any practical frustrations you would like to solve.
