Colour & Finish Consultation · Hervey Bay
Make confident choices before the work begins
Practical, personal help choosing colours and finishes that work with your home, your lifestyle and the amount you want to spend.
- Clear local advice
- Options suited to your budget
- No pressure to replace everything
A practical second opinion
Too many samples and no clear answer?
Paint cards, cabinetry colours, flooring, benchtops and hardware can all look good on their own. The difficult part is knowing whether they will work together in your light, beside the finishes you are keeping and across the whole room.
I help you narrow the choices, understand what will make the greatest difference and create a direction that feels comfortable, coordinated and genuinely yours.
You do not need a huge renovation—or an entirely new home—to make a noticeable difference.
This service may be right for you
Get unstuck without handing over control
You stay in charge of your style, purchases and budget. My role is to give you an experienced eye, honest advice and a clear way forward.
01 · Refreshing
You want change without starting again
We can work with flooring, furniture or fittings you already own and identify the colours and finishes that will bring everything together.
02 · Renovating
Need a second opinion on key finishes?
If you have already narrowed your choices, I can help you compare a focused selection of paint, cabinetry, benchtop, tile, flooring or hardware samples and make sure they work together. Larger kitchen, bathroom and renovation selection projects are quoted separately.
03 · Building
Want clarity before a selections appointment?
A focused consultation can help establish an overall colour direction or review key choices before your builder or supplier appointment. Whole-home new-build selections and extensive finish schedules are separately scoped and quoted.

Frequently asked questions
Before you book
Is this only for people renovating a whole home?
No. A focused consultation can help with one room, paint colours or a small group of finish decisions. If you are working on a kitchen refresh, the $295 consultation can review a limited set of pre-selected colour and finish options. Full kitchen, bathroom, laundry, new-build and larger renovation projects are quoted separately.
Can you work with finishes or furniture I am keeping?
Yes. In many homes, the best answer is not to replace everything. Existing flooring, furniture, artwork or fittings can become the starting point for a more coordinated direction.
Will you choose everything for me?
I can narrow and coordinate the choices, explain why they work and make recommendations, but the final decisions remain yours. The process is collaborative and there is no pressure to buy particular products.
Does the fixed consultation include product purchases or sample ordering?
No. The fee covers the agreed preparation, one consultation and brief written summary. Products, supplier samples, sample postage, trade work, delivery and installation are separate. Where possible, you purchase products directly from the supplier.
Can you attend a supplier or selections appointment?
Yes. After your initial consultation, this can be arranged as optional follow-up support at $125 per hour. The expected time and any travel are confirmed before I begin.
Does the $295 consultation include full kitchen or bathroom design?
No. The fixed consultation is for focused colour and finish advice only. Kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, custom cabinetry, whole-home selections and larger renovation projects are separately scoped and priced on application.
Will Hervey Bay Interiors manage my renovation or employ the trades?
No. My main role is consulting, colour and finish selection, and design guidance. I can suggest local trades and communicate the agreed design direction when you request hourly support, but you choose, appoint, contract and pay each trade directly. Hervey Bay Interiors does not act as the builder, head contractor or construction project manager.
